Maidstone Tree Services is able to selectively remove the lower branches of a tree in order to give plants on the ground much needed light.
By crown lifting your trees it enables any other plants under the tree to get much needed light. Some branches might just be a little below head height and need removing. Also by crown lifting, it stops fungi from growing underneath the tree as it allows better sunlight and air circulation.
Crown lifting is the selective removal of the lower branches of a trees crown to increase the distance between the base of the canopy and ground level.
All trees grow and mature. At some stage limbs will naturally die off. When this happens the tree will shed them. Although a natural process, in populated areas, this is unsafe. Dead wooding is the process of selectively removing the dead, dying and damaged branches from the tree which have not yet fallen to prevent possible damage to surrounding areas and people.
Maidstone Tree Services are well aware of the ecological benefits of dead wood within trees. We will therefore assess whether the dead wood does in fact need to be removed. It is, on occasion, possible to preserve the tree and limbs without it posing a risk to the public.

Maidstone Tree Services maintains hedges throughout Kent and the South East.
Keep your hedges looking neat and tidy with a regular cut. Ideally twice a year for a full and healthy look.
We have a very good reputation for working to high standards in order to maintain the shape and quality of every hedge. Many of our clients ask us to return each year.
The process of pollarding maintains your trees at a predetermined height by removing the upper branches to promote a dense head of foliage.
By regularly pollarding trees, they tend to grow slower and live longer as they are maintained in a partial juvenile state and do not have so much weight at the top of the tree. This also enables them to be more resilient in harsh winds.

Maidstone Tree Services are able to install extra high strength steel cables and brace rods. These are additional structural supports which help to reduce the risk of failure of weak branches and multiple stems.
Cables are attached to bolts which are installed in the upper crown of a tree. They are intended to limit the movement of the supported branches so they are less likely to fail during storms. Braces are threaded rods that provide more rigid support, especially forces that can occur in violent weather.
Here at Maidstone Tree Services we plan tree felling very carefully.
Trees must be felled safely and in the direction required. We will make assessments of the surrounding area, i.e. whether there are major obstacles in the area (overhead lines, roads and buildings, etc.), proximity to traffic and the public before determining that felling is appropriate.
If necessary, we will also ensure the use of sufficient warning signs, barrier tape and cones before commencing any felling.

Maidstone Tree Services care about the environment and always try to encourage planting and re-planting to keep the South East green.
Maidstone Tree Services has a lot of knowledge of different species and where to place them.

Fantastic service, arrived on time (on a bank holiday evening), got the job done quickly, professionally with some awe inspiring climbing. Friendly service, and retrieved our very expensive drone from a very tall tree without a scratch on it. Also gave us some good advice on the health of the tree in question upon returning to earth.
Excellent company, cannot fault in any way, very tidy after they left and they took all trimmings with them, John was a very helpful young man, I had been thinking of getting them done for a few weeks, got home from work one evening and he was parked outside the house, he popped in done the quote and done the works today, very, very pleased with the outcome!!
Called John on a Friday and arranged quote for Saturday afternoon. Turned up on time and booked in for the Wednesday. Very knowledgable and advised to cut right back so it doesn’t need another visit within 6 months. Came home work was complete with everything cleared. Very happy with our nice neat garden. Would highly recommend.
